1. Rinse: After every use, rinse your surfboard with freshwater. This helps remove any salt, sand, or debris that may have accumulated on the board.

2. Dry: After rinsing, let your surfboard air dry in a shaded area. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight as it can cause damage to the board.

3. Wax: Apply a layer of surf wax to the deck of the board to provide better traction while surfing. Use a wax comb to evenly distribute the wax and remove any excess.

4. Repair: If your surfboard gets dinged or damaged, it's important to repair it as soon as possible to prevent further damage. Use a ding repair kit or take it to a professional surfboard repair shop.

5. Storage: When storing your surfboard, keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. You can store it vertically or horizontally, just make sure it's not leaning against anything that could damage the board.

6. Transport: When transporting your surfboard, use a board bag or cover to protect it from scratches or dings. Use tie-down straps to secure it to the roof of your vehicle, making sure they are tight and secure before driving.
